What’s new?
Opkey's release 6.09 introduces key features: SSO Group-based privileges, an Integration Dashboard for centralized test management, QLM Ticket creation for automated tests, detailed Debug Run logs, improved UI performance, Plugin Chooser for Mac, grouped Audit Trails, AI-powered assistant 'Wilfred,' and enhanced Device Management and Mobile Recorder for local devices.
NEW FEATURES
1. SSO Groups
The newly updated SSO group feature will enable all the users added to the group to enjoy the same admin or common user privileges assigned to them by their admin. This will save the hassle of providing separate access to all the team members working on a project.
2. Integration Dashboard
Opkey’s new integration testing dashboard helps you verify the integration features of your ERP with other ERPs and third-party apps. You can create manual integration profiles or create automated ones through Discovery.
You can manage all the integration test profiles on a central dashboard.
3. QLM Ticket creation
Users can now create tickets for automated test cases using Opkey's QLM feature. Admin users can choose between Opkey’s QLM and External Tool Integration options to configure test cases and proceed with workflows like logging bugs and changing states.
4. Debug Run
The Debug Run feature now allows users to view the execution of each test case step. A pop-up window displays the execution and results, with logs shown for each step.
For faster troubleshooting, Debug Now provides an alternative execution method. Once execution with Debug Run mode finishes, you'll have access to detailed logs for each execution step. These logs help developers pinpoint and fix bugs efficiently.
5. UI Performance work
In this release, we are enhancing the manager page for all artifacts and dropdown fields, including Search, Filter, Rename, and more. These improvements also extend to the Create Artifacts page on the right panel. This will eliminate the waiting time during text input.
6. Plugin Chooser
Opkey now offers the option to choose plugins in Cloud Run for execution with Spock agent on Mac machines. Users can select the appropriate plugin to execute their test cases.
7. Audit Trail grouping
The audit trail now provides detailed information about your execution runs more efficiently. We have organized the audit trails by their respective builds and grouped them into "batches." This new structure simplifies categorization and significantly reduces load times.
8. AI-powered Wilfred
Opkey's AI-powered test assistant, 'Wilfred,' is an intelligent chatbot that automates testing tasks using generative AI and process mining. It reduces manual effort in creating test scripts, improving testing accuracy and efficiency.
The icon is now available on the left panel along with the right side corner of the Opkey tool.
9. Device Management
This feature assists in registering mobile devices for test automation. It retrieves registration devices and connects them to a local agent to facilitate automated execution on local mobile devices.
10. Mobile local recorder
Opkey’s mobile recorder now aids in recording local mobile devices. Connect to the local device to start recording and playback on the locally registered mobile device.
