Introducing Live Test Run, updated UI & new enhancements
In this release, we introduce Marketplace, along with an updated user interface for API Testing. Also, this release includes many new enhancements aimed at improving testing processes and achieving optimal results.
NEW FEATURES
1. Live Test Run
Opkey now includes a fresh feature allowing users to observe live runs while they execute their test cases. These runs showcase the status of each step.
This enables you to promptly identify errors and make necessary modifications if any in the steps, without the need to wait for the entire execution process to finish.
2. Jira Integration
Jira, a well-known bug-tracking, issue-tracking, and project-management tool, can be integrated with Opkey. It enables automatic bug logging for failed test executions and updating existing bugs in specific projects.
In your Jira-integrated Opkey project, locate the test case and use the right-click function. Apply changes to map the test case effectively with Jira. Upon executing the test case, any failures will be recorded as notifications in Jira.
3. Summary Report
In Opkey, you can now access the Summary Report download option from the Automate Report within the Reports tab. This report is accessible for either individual test case runs, or multiple test cases incorporated within a test suite. It furnishes you with comprehensive details summarizing the executed test case.
4. API Test UI Revamp
Opkey has now introduced a redesigned user interface (UI) for viewing results following request submissions for API Testing. You can now conveniently access the results alongside the response tab instead of scrolling down.
ENHANCEMENTS
1. Bulk Automation of Scenario (Test Discovery)
You can now automate your scenarios in bulk with just a single click with Opkey's Test Discovery feature. This allows you to save time and effort by automating tasks collectively rather than individually.
2. Enhancement in Indexer
We've enhanced the backend indexer to automatically deactivate when a user is offline. This enhancement aims to address the issue of slowness.
3. Filter in Scenario Left Panel
Opkey’s Test Discovery feature has now been introduced with an option of Pivot Filter that filters out scenarios having Opkey Business Units in Oracle processes. The rest of the scenarios will remain hidden. The Business Units vary for different Oracle processes.
4. Keycloak Upgrade
Keycloak has been upgraded from 13.0.1 to 24.0.2 due to enhanced features.
5. Exposed API
Opkey APIs allow users to get the execution result of their executed Test Cases without accessing Opkey directly by using API Tools like Postman & Soap UI.
List of available Opkey APIs – Authorize, GetSuiteResult, GetTestCaseResult, GetAllSessionsOfABuild, GetAllSessionsOfProject, GetAllTagsOfSession
10. Single Sign On
Opkey is now integrated with Single Sign On feature that will permit users to utilize a single set of login credentials, such as a username and password, to access multiple Opkey applications.
11. Enhancement Onboarder
Two new details have been added to the verification email sent during the user signup process, aiding in identifying any failed signup activities.
12. MySQL Upgrade
The MySQL version has been upgraded from 8.0.35 to 8.0.36 to ensure continued support for new features.
