Troubleshooting Guide for QLM Reports in Opkey

1. Issue: Unable to Create a QLM Report

When trying to create a new QLM report, the creation process fails. This issue may arise due to a temporary server issue, or network connectivity problems.

Solution:

  • Check your internet connection to ensure it's stable and refresh the page.
  • If the issue persists, wait a few minutes and attempt to create the report again, as there could be a temporary server issue.

2. Issue: Widgets Not Displaying Data in the Report

After adding widgets to a QLM report, they appear empty or do not show the expected data. This could be due to incorrect widget configuration, missing data sources, or permission issues with the data.

Solution:

  • Double-check the configuration settings of the widget to ensure it is set up correctly and linked to the relevant data sources. Check for incorrect project or milestone mapping in the report.
  • Ensure the "Auto Refresh" option is enabled in the widget settings to keep the data up-to-date.

3. Issue: Report Not Updating with Latest Data

The QLM report shows outdated information and does not reflect recent updates or changes. A possible reason for this could be that auto-refresh option may be disabled, or there might be a syncing issue with the data source.

Solution:

  • Enable the "Auto Refresh" option in the widget settings to ensure the report automatically updates with the latest data.
  • Confirm that the data source is correctly linked and synced with the report.
  • If the report still doesn’t update, clear your browser cache and reload the report.

4. Issue: Filters Not Applying Correctly

When applying filters to a QLM report, the data does not filter as expected, or the filters seem to have no effect.  This issue can occur if the filter criteria are incorrect or if there are conflicting filters applied.

Solution:

  • Review and adjust the filter criteria to ensure they are accurate and relevant to the data you are trying to filter.
  • Remove any conflicting or unnecessary filters and reapply only the essential ones.
  • Refresh the report before applying the filters to ensure the data is up-to-date.

5. Issue: Unable to Share QLM Report with Team Members

Attempts to share a QLM report with team members are unsuccessful, or the share option is unavailable. This could happen when the access of the report may be set to "Private," or "Specific" to some users.

Solution:

  • Change the report mode to "Public" or if its in "Specific" to allow others to view it. When using "Specific," make sure to add the email ID of the intended users.
  • Ensure that the team members you are trying to share the report with are part of the project within Opkey.

6. Issue: Report Layout Not Saving

Changes made to the layout of the QLM report do not save, or the layout reverts to its previous state. This issue might be due to a browser caching problem or session time-out.

Solution:

  • Clear your browser cache and attempt to save the layout again.
  • Re-login to your Opkey account and try saving the layout immediately after making changes.
  • If the issue persists, contact Opkey support for further assistance.
