Connecting Salesforce to Opkey

Before proceeding to work with Opkey App’s Impact Analysis feature on Salesforce you need to register a new app by following the steps as mentioned below. Let’s proceed: 

 

Log into Salesforce with your credentials.  

Switch to Classic Mode, click Connected Apps under Manage Apps, and edit the app policies by clicking the Edit Policy button. 

 

  

 

Select Relax IP restrictions from the options, scroll down the form, and click Save. 

 

 

 

This will let you establish a connection with the other domain. 

On the homepage, look for the Platform Tools option. 

 

 

Select Apps and click App Manager. 

 

 

On this page click New Connected App: 

 

 

Add details on the form page. 

Connected App Name - Any chosen name of your choice 

API Name - Any chosen name of your choice 

Contact Email - Your contact email address 

 

 

 

Scroll down the page under API, and enable the Enable OAuth Setting check box.  

 

 

 

 

It opens a list of new fields. Enter the column of the Callback URL with your domain URL. For example, 

<<https://YOUR_AUTH0_DOMAIN/login>> 

 

 

 

Under the option Selected OAuth Scopes, select Manage user data via Web Browsers and click the Add button. 

 

 

 

 

Scroll down the page further and click on the Save button. 

 

 

 

You’ll be redirected to a new page. Under the heading, API (Enable OAuth Settings), view the options of Consumer Key and Secret. Next to this option, you’ll find the button Manage Consumer Details. 

 

 

 

 

Click on the Manage Consumer Details buttonYou’ll be redirected to a verification page. Enter the verification code received on your entered email address and click Verify. 

 

 

 

Once you click verify, it redirects you to a new page with details of Consumer Key and Consumer Secret. 

 

 

 

Enter this Consumer Key and Consumer Secret on Opkey's Environment Settings page.

 

Opkey Side Set Up

 

Go to tools section in Opkey and select Auto Create Salesforce Components



Click on the + icon to add the instance.


Add the Instance Name as desired, URL of Salesforce, Username and Password, Consumer Key and Secret. Security Token can be kept blank.



Once you click Add, the instance gets successfully added to Opkey.
