Overview of Working with Service Repository in Opkey

Web services enable cross-platform communication and data exchange between software applications over the Internet using specialized protocols. 


There are two types of web services: SOAP and REST. SOAP stands for Simple Object Access Protocol and REST stands for Representational State Transfer.
 

Opkey supports both SOAP and REST web services.  


Let’s go to Opkey and see how you can work with the Service Repository. 


Login to Opkey and select the project to work on. There are three ways to create a Service Repository in Opkey. 


Method 1 


Click on the Create New folder and select Service Repository

 



A new file of the Service Repository will be created. 


Method 


Right-click on the Project Workspace folder and select Create New. Select Service Repository.

 



A new Service Repository will be created. 


Method 3 

Click on the dialer to create a new Service Repository. 

 

 



Enter the Name and click on OK

 


A new Service Repository file will be created. 

Click on Add SOAP Service to add a SOAP Service. 


 


Click on REST Service to add a REST Service.
