Troubleshooting guide for Automate reports in Opkey

1. Issue: Validation Report Not Generating

The Validation Report fails to generate, or the report generation process is stuck.

This could be due to incorrect report settings or system glitches.

Solution:

  • Verify that you have selected the correct options and settings for generating the report. Double-check the report name and format.
  • Refresh the page and try generating the report again.

2. Issue: Report Download Fails or Is Corrupted

After generating the report, the download fails, or the downloaded file is corrupted.

Network issues, server problems, or file corruption during the download process could lead to this error.

Solution:

  • Check your internet connection and ensure it's stable before attempting the download again.
  • Try using a different browser or clearing the cache of your current browser.
  • If the problem persists, wait for a while and attempt the download again. If issues continue, contact Opkey support.

3. Issue: Advanced Filters Are Not Applying Correctly

Advanced filters do not seem to apply as expected, or the report is not being filtered correctly. This may occur due to incorrect filter application or conflicts between selected filters.

Solution:

  • Double-check the filter settings and ensure they are correctly configured for your needs.
  • Remove any conflicting filters and apply only the necessary ones.
  • Apply the filters again and generate the report to verify if the issue is resolved.

4. Issue: Report Shows Incorrect Data or Missing Information

The generated report contains incorrect data or is missing some expected information. This could be due to errors in the report generation settings or in the executed test runs.

Solution:

  • Review all the report generation settings to ensure that all required options and filters are correctly selected.
  • If you want the report to contain all the snapshots of executed steps, then ensure that the referred test case is executed with selecting the All Steps option for capturing snapshots during execution.
  • Generate the report again to check if the issue persists. If the problem continues, reach out to Opkey support for assistance.

5. Issue: Unable to Access or View Report Details

The generated report cannot be opened or viewed properly, or it displays errors when trying to access. The possible reasons for this issue could be file corruption during generation or download, or browser compatibility issues.

Solution:

  • Try opening the report with a different application compatible with the file format (e.g., PDF reader, Word processor, Excel).
  • Use a different browser or update your current browser to the latest version.
  • Re-generate the report and attempt to access it again. If the issue persists, contact Opkey support.

6. Issue: Report Generation Takes Too Long

The process of generating the report is taking an unusually long time to complete. This could be due to a large volume of data or temporary server performance issues.

Solution:

  • Allow additional time for the report generation to complete, especially if it involves a large amount of data.
  • Check the Opkey status page or contact support to see if there are any ongoing server issues.
  • Optimize the report settings to reduce the data volume if possible, and try generating the report again. You can select the No Snapshot option to reduce the data load.
