Using Object Repositories in Opkey

This feature allows you to map objects from an object repository within a test step. When you click on three dots icon on any test case step, you can access the Set Input data option to map any object repository to your step. For any test case or reusable component created in Opkey, a corresponding object repository is created. This can be mapped from the input data page of test case as shown below.

1. Open your test case and click the three dots icon on the step where you want to add the object repository.

2. Select the Set Input Data option.

3. On the Edit Data of Step page, click the Edit Test Object icon.

4. On the object page, click on Change Object.

Note: When automating a web application, we have several objects with their values listed in the columns. These values can be modified. If you are using some regex pattern to modify these values, you can click Is Regex checkbox in front of the related object.

5. Select your object repository from the options to map on the step.

These object repositories are created with objects fetched during recording of a test case. To learn more on creating a test case with recorder, click here.
