Connecting SQL Server through ODBC driver - New UI

Opkey features a built-in database connectivity engine, which facilitates various database operations.     

This article will guide you on how you can connect to Oracle Database through ODBC Driver.   

  

Follow the below steps for ODBC Configuration for Oracle Database:   

   
Search for ODBC Data Source 64-bit on the Start Menu   

   
Open Run as admin.   

  

Select the System DSN tab, select SQL 64-bit platform, and click on the Add button.   

 

 


Enter details of Name and Server on click on Next

 

 

 

Select the second radio button mentioning SQL Server authentication using a Login ID and password by the user. 

 

Enter the Login ID and password and click on Next.  


 


On the next window, Select database from the dropdown in the default database. 


Click on Next


 


Click on Finish

 

The connection gets established. 

 

Now go to Opkey create a test case and add two keywords:  

 

ConnectDataBase  

 

ExecuteQuery  




For the ConnectDatabase keyword, click on the Set Data icon to enter the input parameters.


 

ConnectDatabase keyword will have the below parameters.




For the Execute Query keyword enter the below details. Save it. 


 


Click on the Run button to execute the keywords to verify whether the connection is established.  


 


Post execution view the result.


When the connection is successfully established, the result will be passed.
